I am now in the possession of actual shrinky dink brand shrinky dinks. :)

As well as an ink pad that will actually work on them...yay!

Though I did forget to get a black sharpie marker....booo. It's all good. I have some other markers that may work plus it's the kind that's rough on one side so I can use my colored pencils at the very least.

I think I'm going to spend the afternoon playing with these. :)

I also picked up some black and orange paint (for future halloween crafting), a few sponge paint brushed (so Arwen can help without me risking some of my better brushes), black enamel paint (for a craft project that Arwen and I are going to work on later)....and the best thing ever...

Twinkles Glitter Paint!!!!

Oh yes...it's one step beyond glitter glue (which I have a bit of an obsession with). Now I have four different glitter paints. This makes me so happy...and well...I probably can't be trusted with these but I don't care.

I still need to make a trip to JoAnnes for a couple other craft supplies (some jewelry findings, jump rings and such) but it can wait till later this week. In the meantime I have a bunch of new stuff to finally play with. :)

I just found out about something called Wist recently. You go to their website and join up and it loads this thing to your toolbar. One link that says "My Wists" that links to your Wist list and one link that says "Add to Wists".

Basically it's a way to create a wishlist in one spot from anything you may find on the internet. You can create tags (for easy finding later) and has a place to write a comment (You can mention why you would like it or what you wisted the item for...ect.)

Very, very handy. I like it for two things: One for the random "I would like to buy you one day" wish listing. The other thing is the "Hey that's cool...and I bet I could make it myself" ideas.

In case you want to see....here is my Wist list: http://www.wists.com/spookygrrrly

Ho hum...I may not have any money right now for frivolous spending...but that doesn't stop me from window shopping. :)

On the current want list:

- a full bottle of Burial by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. I have an imp of this I was given in a knitting swap. It is probrably my favorite scent ever and really like how it smells on me. I've been wanting to splurge on a bottle of this for a while and just haven't. Though at least this is a more doable splurge since it's only 15 bucks.

-Now for the I-must-be-dreaming-yeah-right window shopping....A white rabbit locket(scroll down for picture). I would love, love, love to have this locket. It would be great with some Queen of Hearts or Cheshire Cat oil to go with it. Right now it is out of stock...which is probrably good since it is $70 and I don't need to be tempted.

-Oh and I think [livejournal.com profile] graindamaged and [livejournal.com profile] marginalia both need this fabric panel from Repodepot.com: Rosie the Riveter We Can Quilt It! (See I'm not just shopping for myself)

-I think I should probrably have one of These t-shirts (black womens v-neck please). It has the Zombie Prayer on it....I think it would be good info in case anyone is wondering what to do if I become a zombie.

-Also [livejournal.com profile] synabetic needs to get this Wilford Brimley Zombie T-shirt

I'm just curious to see around how much other people spend on groceries for their families. I know that I have a skewed sense of how much food should cost since I spent most of my 20's in the restaurant field and my ex-husband was a line cook. I never really had to go grocery shopping because we both had food tabs at work. When I was single and not working restaurants I found it was actually cheaper to eat out and make two meals out of the leftovers than it was too cook at home most of the time. (Cooking for one is never easy)

Rob and I are always debating how much money should be spent on the food bill. I tend to think it should be no more than $50 for a week...Rob thinks I'm nuts. We usually spend about $60-$80 but we also eat out at least a couple lunches a week too. Honestly I have no idea what is considered a "normal" amount to spend on groceries. Which makes it frustrating to figure out our food budget in relation to our overall budget.

So out of curiosity I made this poll:

It seems that Monkey Love Rubberstamps is closed on Monday. So I will try again on Wednesday to check them out.

Today wasn't a complete loss though.
I stopped by Twice Sold Tales while in Queen Anne and picked up a book called Colored Pencil for the Serious Beginner by Bet Borgeson. It's a really nice little book with a lot of information on technique both in basic art and the colored pencil medium.

Then I went over to Mullady's for lunch to try them out since they are only a block from my house. I had a quite yummy turkey club with a cup of tomato vegetable soup. It was really good and a resonable price.

Now I'm going to use my book and go play around with colored pencils.
