Doesn't it make it difficult for everyone who has grown up using Imperial measurements to suddenly have to learn a new set for cooking? And especially since I'm presuming that tinned vegies, etc are still measured in ounces? You know, the height thing isn't a huge surprise. Even though we use metric here in AU, I still know my height in feet and inches, and I know my childrens birth weights in pounds and ounces. Its just easier since we're fairly new converts to metric.
