Currently on the Needles
Mar. 3rd, 2008 11:41 amSo my new object of lust purchase of last week is a nice new yarn.
Kashmir DK by Louisa Harding Yarn. A 55% merino wool 35% microfiber 10% cashmere yarn.
It is soooo soft and not too horrible at $9 a skein for 116 yards. Or at least not bad for small projects anyways...I won't be using it for a sweater anytime soon. (Though it would make a heavenly sweater)
Knits well, doesn't split, good drape.
I'm making a headscarf out of it using Branching Out as the base pattern. I just repeated the lace pattern and kept the rest the same. Using size 7 needles.
It is my very first lace project and is comming out very nice so far. It should be finished quickly ...if I keep knitting and stop petting my yarn!
